Asteroid 99942 Apophis will pass 21,557 miles from Earth—if you think that's pretty far away, remember that your TV satellite is coming from 22,500 miles up. It will be visible to the naked eye.
It is possible that Earth's gravity may alter the 820-foot asteroid's orbit and magnify its chance of returning to hit us on April 13, 2036. Yikes!
