For the first time in the show's history, The Simpsons will be in HD for all to see tonight, as well as the first full, permanent revamp of the show's opening titles since its premiere in 1989. Fox will also air both a full-length and an abbreviated version of the credits.

I can't believe I missed this last night. This is the intro for the first episode of The Simpsons Season 19. Bart writes on the board "I will not wait 20 years to make another movie." He keeps his shorts on, though...

Finally! The answer is revealed. Sort of. A contest where Springfields all over the country competed to be 'the' Springfield of the Simpsons was held. I never pictured the Simpsons as being from Vermont, but the southeastern Vermont community beat out 13 other Springfields for the honor, which includes hosting the premiere of "The Simpsons Movie" on July 26th.
